Yes, Phone and Virtual Coaching are Better Than In-Person Coaching (And Here's Why!)

Uncategorized Sep 22, 2020

According to research, the U.S. personal coaching industry is worth over $1 billion and is expected to continue to rise. If you have been thinking about hiring or becoming a coach, there is no better time than now.

When searching for the right coach, you are forced to make many decisions such as what type of life coaching you want, as well as the method of coaching such as phone coaching, virtual coaching, or in person.

Many clients find that phone coaching and virtual coaching communities provides them with better results than when they met their coaches in-person. They were able to concentrate better without distractions and did not have to go out into public if they did not want to.

The question is, why is phone coaching and virtual coaching communities better than in-person? Why wouldn't you want to be face-to-face with your life coach?

Thankfully, I've created this article to answer those questions exactly. Keep on reading to learn why phone coaching and online coaching communities are the best form of coaching you can get!

Fewer Distractions

When you are meeting with your coach or client in-person, there are many more chances of becoming distracted by the environment around you. These distractions can pull you out of your state of focus, which can affect your or your client's results if you are on the verge of a breakthrough!

This goes for both the coach and client, when speaking to someone in person you are distracted by their facial expressions, clothing, body language, eye movement, surroundings and more.

When you do phone coaching or coaching online, you are able to focus on the words and the energy behind them, without all the extra distractions.

More Authentic Vulnerability

The home is an energetically-safe sanctuary for clients to relax and rejuvenate. When someone is in the comfort of their own home, their body will feel that it is safe to let go of any guards, which can help them to go deeper with coaching.

For example, if your niche specializes in coaching clients on health & wellness or something similar, their body would let go easier and you would help them have more breakthroughs than if they were in an unfamiliar space.

More Clients

If you were only coaching in-person, you are limited to the potential clients in your general area. However, if you are coaching over the phone or virtually, you now have the possibility of coaching anyone who has a phone/internet connection and speaks your language.

Phone and virtual coaching open up much more possibility for more leads on potential clients. It expands your brand awareness and helps you to make more of an impact. In my younger days I thought I had to meet with everyone to get the job done, but the world has changed. We don't have to be in person for everything anymore.

Less Travel Time

If you are meeting with your clients in person, you have to account for much more time than just the length of the session itself. There is also travel time, time to prepare, and more. Don't even get me started about the parking hassles if you live in a large city!

On the contrary, if you are offering phone/virtual coaching, you have the ability to schedule back-to-back clients or have an online community where you can coach many users at one time (like a Facebook group). This will increase your sales and allow for more clients, which also means you are making a bigger impact!
